Profile of David Body

David trained as an illustrator and working in London as a graphic designer has probably had the biggest influence on my work as a painter. I paint naturalistically and in more colourist abstract styles, my images have evolved over the years and are now more graphic in appearance.

The Highland landscape is my main source of inspiration. In Caithness the landscape and weather are all pervasive. Selected elements are used to express the feeling of certain terrain, weather and light.
