This is part of a series of news items profiling the artists who will be attending Beauly Gallery as Artists in Residence for Art Around the Firth. Art Around the Firth is Beauly Gallery's contribution to Highlands Open Studio 2011.
The main Highland Open Studio exhibition will be on-show, in the gallery, throughout the month of July. The Artist in Residence days begin on the 23rd July and last for 9 days. Each artist will be available between 12-4pm. The full timetable can be found on this page.
I have continued to explore the colours, textures and contours of the Highland land and seascape. Dramatic large scale pieces form the main body of work. A new palette can be seen emerging in Spring tide, Dornoch as well as familiar, signature mark making techniques.
