Heritage Series

The Heritage Series photographs were taken in the period 1968-75. The pictures were taken using a large format camera, with the view finder and negative cropped to produce the panoramic shape. They form part of a collection of transparencies mounted behind glass which were used in conjunction with a specially designed projector to present as a slide show to Women's Rural Groups etc.

It is unlikely that the photographs had ever been printed until a selection were scanned and digitally reproduced last year. These photographs are of the highest technical quality, and extremely unusual for the time period. The subjects form a snapshot of life in the Highlands at that time, with transport from a bygone era.
