| Awarded the "Hampshire County Council Travel Bursary". This was spent travelling the Highlands and Islands in order to assist in the research of my thesis subject, The Highland Clearances. This opportunity also allowed me to build a portfolio of work based on the dramatic landscape to support my specialist area of constructed textiles. | 1985 | |

| Living in the heart of beautiful scenery, which was my inspiration from the "early years" has allowed me to refocus on my own painting which is both diverse and experimental. Although my main exploration is of the landscape I also enjoy the colour and texture of natural form. Mixed media, a variety of scale and layers of colour form the main ingredients of each piece. | ||
