Artist Profile of Fiona MacKenzie

Fiona Mackenzie has been an artist for over 20 years. After studying History of Art at the University of Aberdeen, and gaining an MA hons she went on to do research and write. Her main focus now is in painting and art. Galleries throughout Britain have exhibited her work, and a number of her watercolours have been bought by royalty. Fiona's home is in the North West outside Gairloch, and provides much artistic inspiration.

Her work includes miniature watercolours based around early Indian Love Poetry - rich in symbolism, depicting Krishna and Radha, illustrating heavenly and earthly passions. In an entirely different vein are the watercolours which depict a mouse family, and have been popular for years. They have been exhibited in Glamis Castle and Balmoral and were bought by the late Queen Mother. Often given as christening gifts or birthday presents they can be personalised for nurseries.
